Just wondering what Kind of boat is good for the river?

well thats depends on what size of boat want or need, and what you want to do with it mostly.

Kayak Need more info as above. Nice Harbercraft jet boat would take you anywheres you want to go. And they are sooo cheap... not really! sorry dreaming again.

Default Umm,

..do you mean an inexpensive boat for floats ? Or are you talking about a full blown river boat ? I'm going to say the former, as you can't really negotiate a 'jet boat' all that well with Oars....

I seriously think about an Inflatable with Inflatable keel and aluminum floor. This will allow you to use both Electric and Gas, which will also allow you to fish the 'NO-GAS' motor lakes like Maligne and of course, those wonderful 'Pothole lakes' !

If an inflatable isn't your thing, then you'd be looking at a 'Jon-Boat' and then restricting yourself to specific Rivers only (due to flow, etc..).
