Default Holiday plan change

As of last night the forestry is "watching" a 50 hectare fire burning a kilometer up the valley from my cabin. So I am not going to take the wife and kids to sit and hope the valley does not get shut off or a change of wind blows it down instead of up the valley while we are on holidays.

We have decided to start out trip with 4 days at Waterton park in the Townsite campground. Does anyone want to offer some fishing spots in the park? My son is 8 and a fiend for fishing. We will have a couple of Kayaks and bikes for access. Would prefer to have walk / wade options.

After our Waterton time we will be going to the cabin (if the cabin is still there and the fire is under control) or heading to Creston area for some bass, maybe the Okanogan, depends on the fires. Any last minute tips for campgrounds, fishing, family stuff would be appreciated...

I hate last minute changes..

Thanks

Dan
