Gun camo/paint jobs

I was just lookin' through some of the paint jobs and not wanting to hijack them I was just wondering if they make a product to wrap a stock.I don't mean the cheap camo tape or fabric but an actual stock wrap,like you can now get to wrap a vinyl "paint job"for your vehicle.I have a Rem. Genesis with camo thumbhole and it is a wrap up.Anyone know of a company that does or might do it?Or if there is such a thing?

You can get your stock dipped at Corlane in Dawson Creek for $175.00; or $400.00 to do the complete gun.

Dont they use cobra imaging? if so, you could go to them directly and cut out the middle man.

I'm not sure who they use; but yes, it is not done in store.

Cobra Imaging moved to Salmon Arm the charge $155 to do a gun stock.

u can also buy a camo colouring airbrush kit that uses aerosol cans for air and is rather unexpensive... it comes with all the leave templates and very easy instructions... u can get them at most artstores... i bought one and everything i own got camod and looks great lol

Do they have them in snow camo as well

yeah u betcha.... they even come with little leave cutouts and the templates for the actual camo... it comes standard with ur usual camo colours but u can buy white too... i beleive it was less than 100 to paint my rifle , case , binoculars , and a couple other knick knacks i had.... very easy to use to... im no airbrusher but mine looks great... they are available at pretty much any art store...

since buying it ive actually started airbrushing a bit... its quite fun and easier than drawing with a damn pencil

i just bought a white sheet cut it up and wrap it around tightly and make it thicker in one spot then the rest, and use weldbond to glue the end of the cut to the already covered stock. this is how it turned out



my stock is already camo so when spring/summer/fall hit i just take off the sheet and then do it again next winter.

Did a camo wrap on my 6mm with snow camo wrap from Cabelas. Goes great with the snow camo I got from there, too.

nope never tried it , the last pic looks not too bad though . I stick with flat black for my rifle

Lets face it there are several ways to camouflage a rifle, from wraps to professional water transfer imaging (WTI). They all have advantages and disadvantages. My preference is the custom look and durability I get from WTI application. Yes it is more money then say a wrap or a can of spray paint and tree branch but the look and feel are superior and I know that when I am crawling through the bush on the side of a mountain that it is going to stand up to the conditions I hunt in.

The other great advantage with WTI is there is a far greater selection of patterns to choose from whether it is camouflage, wood grains or something completely funky for my bench shooter.

For me when I am restoring or camouflaging one of my firearms I will take WTI any day of the week!
