Default .357 mag revolver

Just curious what brand revolver you think is better and why?

Default .357

Better........for what?

Nice trigger?
Ease of loading ammunition and then unloading empty cases?
Ability to handle full-house loads?

The practical, approach, is to have at least a couple (e.g. one double and one single action)......

Cheers

I've always found Ruger to be built stronger than the S&W and a whole heck of alot cheaper! I'm by no means a S&Wfan. way to much money for what you get.

C,mon, you have to like that smooooth trigger on a Colt Python.

There is a guy in Edmonton that can hone a Ruger trigger to just about the same feel as a Python. He was trained at Ruger.

I used to have a Ruger GP100 with 6" barrel. Pretty rugged gun. If I were to buy one now, I'd buy the Ruger GP100 with the 4.2" barrel. I just like the looks. :-)

When I decided to purchase a 357mag, I chose a Freedom Arms 97.

Updated technology to an old design. Pretty tough to argue with coil springs over leaf. Easy to disassemble, compared to the rest of the pack. Had to pick one for my life to depend on, it would be a Ruger.

I only have any experience with a S&W so am not qualified to vote in any poll.

I squeeze the trigger and it puts holes in things, whats not to like?

It must be awfully dangerous, they made it a prohibited weapon!

I've had 3 S&W, 2 Ruger and a Colt Python in 357. The Smith's were my favorites.

I'm so used to S&W, nothing else feels right. Although I really love my new Ruger Blackhawk 44spl.

S&W #1, Blackhawk #2.

I have the S&W 586 with a 4 inch barrel and love it. After that it would be a S&W 19 with either 4 inch or 6 inch barrel.
