Default Morenville Pond

Went there this morning, saw lots of perch just below the ice. Probably low oxygen, they were not interested in the hooks at all. Didnt see any trout or anything near the bottom.

Which end of the lake were you at and how deep? Were you at the F&G club pond or the one by the overpass?

try going to a small size 14 or 16 chironomid on 1 or 2 pound test. Try first without bait...then us one loan maggot. Then try half a small mealworm. Lower to the bottom and then wiggle slowly up...very slow...picture a bug in an aquarium...they swim up millimeters at a time...may people move it up inches at a time...which is too fast. Bites can often be so ultralight that you think you are not getting bites but in fact you are getting lots. Using a marmish rod on ultra sensitive can help also.
