Smile It All Starts With Lego

Well, after just compleating my first week of training into this grand new adventure in life, I found myself smiling by times and recalling the countless hours spent playing with legos as a youth.

Dismantling, servicing and re-assembling a tool based on a diagram is an eerily similar experience.......albeit with a far more expensive component package!

Anyway, I've always encouraged the 'Shrubs' to play with this most educational toy. They've learned how to properly follow directions, problem solve and eventually become creative once all the blocks find a home in the same bin......for the most part! lol

Here's what the little buggers created all on their own this weekend, and were proud enough of these creations to want to share them with all of their fellow outdoorsmen.

Dad's pretty proud too. Enjoy.

Awesome, Tree!

Always amazes me what kids can build with that stuff. They think of everything...

Link worked fine for me! Very cool stuff. Looked like that truck will be able to go just about anywhere, when she produces the full-scale version, next year.
Thanks for sharing!

OK, good to know. Other than the original posting, it just keeps bringing up a blank screen for me. Weird.

Rack, I'm training in to be the best damn MWD operator the directional drilling industry has ever seen. Just gotta work on my confidence a bit though.

Cool vid Tree !

It's good for kids to build stuff. Helps the mind figger stuff out.

I was lucky growing up: Dad had a heavy const. co. Big shops, lots of tools etc. & not much supervision

You said it Tree, it all starts with lego.

Now, who had a Meccano Erector Set when they were growing up. I had one that was my dad's when he was young. If I knew they were so valuable today I'd have kept better track of it.

Meccano, is what I had, no Lego. Pretty sure I still have one or two of the little wrenches that came with the Meccano set at home.

I had lego, but grandparents had meccano.

Might have to start looking for that stuff again for the kid.
