Default Edmonton

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to fly fishing and was wondering if there are and streams worth fly fishing that are an hour or so from Edmonton? Hopefully for some grayling or trout!!
Thanks in advance.

That's what I thought. I don't think I would have enough time to make it that far so I was hoping there was something.

If you're not set on trout or grayling, there're always goldeye in the north saskatchewan. Several good places within city limits.

Can you suggest easy access points for the NSR? I was thinking Terwillegar park but some dogs don't make good fisherman.

When you say Fox Drive, do you mean the creek by the stairs where people are exercising?

And what flies are you using for the goldeye in the NSR?

Sorry I should have been more specific, fox drive coming off the whitemud. Same parking lot as the equestrian park
