Default How are sylvan whites doin?

Planning a trip for the long weekend. How's the fishing for whites? Are they shallow or do you have to go deep to be most productive. I've only ever fished the in 4-6 fow so don't know how to catch them deeper and what depth to fish.

i've been my kayak at around 25 fow, not much luck. just some small guys so maybe they are deeper have no idea. if u are planning to try deeper water, use a slip bobber and wire worms

I'm not sure if I will try deeper but just wondering if it's worth while or what depth the majority of people fish them at

Yea you need to dig through the comments a bit, I forget which had the best comments, iirc he was fishing 15-20 fow but adjusting the slip bobber to the flashes on the sounder. Standard lure setup
