That almost sounds selfish.

Nothing wrong with that?

Default "want" gun

Some day................although I have too many double rifles already (please note; tongue in cheek. Not sure if this is possible!), I would like to own a pair of English "best" guns, both a rifle and a shotgun. Ideally a double barrel set to handle both needs! I'm thinking a Holland Holland sidelock in something mild like a 450/400, and a matching set of barrels in 20 or 28 gauge.
Meanwhile, until the lottery comes in, I have my eye on a nice little Westley Richards sxs boxlock in 450/400, and a little Alexander Henry hammer gun in 28 gauge.

A weatherby euromark in 340 weatherby and a model 71 deluxe carbine in 348 win. I have a bunch of others I would love to have but these 2 are at the top of my current list.

So you're saying dreams come true!

I've got a hankering for a 7mm-08 and was reading about 6.5-284 this weekend which also sounds interesting down the road. Keep thinking about a 7mm-08 though and a 35 Whelen.

As far as rifles, really love grey laminate stocks and don't have one. Was thinking T3x, but my BIL recently got a Sako and it's a beauty!

Wanted to get a 22-250... but then i happened to get my hands on a 224 TTH (22-08) and a 22-06, so that is taken care of, now want to get a 204 ruger.

The only other one I could think of is a 6.5x284... but already have a 26 nosler soo... from there its a big jump to a 416 ruger.

I managed to 'tick off' 6.5x55, .300H&H and 9.3x62.

That leaves 6x45, .257 Roberts, 8x68, 7x57 and .404 Jeff.

My inherent sense of material minimalism means I would likely own one, use it and unless it made something obsolete for me, I would sell it. Perhaps a Blaser R8 makes sense so one can trade barrels?

Win Model 70, pre-64, in 300 H&H.

35 Whelen and 9.3x62 has always intrigued me too.

When I was younger and hunted a lot, I had to have a 300 Weatherby and a 308 Norma Magnum.

Then I came to my senses and realized a 30-30, a 308 Winchester or a 30-06 was all I ever really needed in the first place.

It's nice to have a dream cartridge - but it's not at all that necessary or practical for a good and successful hunt.

It was more of an ego thing for me.

.50bmg

If it wasn't so damn expensive and there were more ranges certified to shoot, I would own a nice custom to shoot beyond a mile.

Default My choice

I have been wanting an Accuracy International AT or Ax with interchangeable barrels. I would buy both a 6mm BR barrel and some type of 6.5 mm

That or some custom action rem 700 clone in the above chamberings.

I have always wanted both a .45 ACP and a .45/70 levergun. I have the 1911a1 now, just need to save up the big bucks for the 45/70!

For me I have 2 cartridges I want some day. I would love a 220 Swift, probably in a Ruger Number 1 or an M77. I also have a interest in acquiring a 280AI in a Kimber 8400. Someday maybe I can get them even though I have both areas pretty much covered with my 22-250 and my 7mm Rem Mag, that these calibers bring. Also wanting to replace my 375 H&H that I sold.

Sako Brown Bear in .338 Win Mag.

I turn 40 in a few years and have thought of doing a guided Alaska hunt for it - this would come along with me on that trip.

I doubt that of those have been made! Apparently some .500 Jeff doubles were built but given the existence of the .500NE 3" I think the rimmed cartridge has always held preference in doubles.
