Default New to Bowhunting (Central AB)

Hi everyone,

I picked up my first compound bow a few months ago and have been obsessed ever since. Previously, I had only shot a bow a few times in my mid-teens (I'm now 26).

I've been getting most of my tips from Youtube videos but am hoping to meet some fellow bowhunters near the Red Deer area to take my shooting to the next level. The vast majority of my knowledge regarding deer/elk/bear behaviour and hunting tips is from books, so nothing can replace that first-hand experience.

If you've got experience in any of the above and live in the Red Deer area, I'd love to hear from you. I've also got an outdoor target I'd love to break in with you sometime soon.

Thanks,
Ryan

Hey Ryan,
Welcome to the forum. I dont live in red deer but you might want to check out the stickies at the top of page. There is one for finding others in your area looking for mentors. Bowhunting is a disease that gets worse every year.
