I am so sad to hear about the passing of the Stuart. He has entertained us for so many years with his show. What is left at CBC Radio now that he is gone? Sad news indeed.

Not a fan of CBC on the whole, but Stuart McLean just about made up for all their shortcomings.
Think I'll pull out one of his books tonight.

As much as I hate the CBC, Christmas wasn't Christmas without Stuarts "Turkey" sketch

Stuart holds a special place in our family. My daughter was a huge fan and, at 10 years old, won a letter writing radio contest to see Stuart in Banff in 2009. To top it off and Stuart read her letter on the air. CBC radio re-aired her letter this morning on Daybreak Alberta's tribute to Stuart. If anyone cares to listen, it starts approx. at the 15:16 mark... (but the whole piece is definitely worth a listen).

RIP Mr. McLean...

I spend a lot of time in my truck at work and listen to him a lot. Great story teller with a great sense of humor. He will be missed.
