Really interesting that they will be releasing a small group of Melanistic Ringneck pheasants this year. Had to google their info as I've never seen one before, quite the fluorescent color to them.

A Different Looking Pheasant
Starting in mid-October we will be releasing up to 1000 melanistic ringneck pheasants mixed in with our regular ringneck releases. Melanistic ringneck pheasants are the same as the pheasants we normally release, but have a natural genetic mutation. This gives them a striking, dark, iridescent plumage. These unique birds will be randomly spread across all release sites so your chances of seeing one are likely low. However, if you are fortunate enough to harvest one, please let us know where. Good Luck!
