Default Cross Lake Provincial Park/Steele Lake.

G'day All.
I'm looking at making a weekend trip up to Cross Lake Provincial Park and I've never fished it before. Just wondering if folks have experience there and that it's worth the trip up. I'll be using a 12ft alum with outboard and trolling motor. I'm not looking for people to give up their hot spots, just curious if it's a good lake.Or should I spend the extra gas money and truck it up to Fawcett or Calling lake.

Thanks Kindly.

Miller

Cross is a fine little lake, especially for a 12 foot boat. Lots of pike. I've only ice fished there in the last couple years but I used to go there a lot when all I had was my 12 footer and I don't recall ever being skunked. If you're thinking about going to Calling next weekend check the regs; it doesn't open till June 1st.
