Default Remnants of Summer Chinook

https://youtu.be/JRUzzAHvnBw

Trolling for Salmon in the Port Alberni inlet and hooked up with a nice hatchery Chinook salmon on a Gibbs Delta G Force Bon Chovy Spoon 6 feet behind a Purple Crush flasher. This was one of my favorite set ups this summer and turned out a lot of Springs for us. Amazing weather and shorts fishing for salmon. Can't beat it!

Default Ucluelet Salmon Fishing

Ucluelet Chinook Salmon fishing just off the light house end of August. This is a video that goes along with above pictures I posted earlier. Weather was awesome but had a bit of engine trouble. Still had fun catching a bunch of fish. Sometimes the bite turns on during tide changes and during those times trolling lures and anchovies can put you into a bunch of fish not far from the Ucluelet Harbor in August. You really don't need a big boat to get into these fish we found out after all we had was our 9.9 and saw lots of small boats out there.

Yeah, I've been watching the forecast with much anticipation... praying for the deep freeze to hit. Looks like my prayers have been answered and I can back off now, haha.

We got a good dump of snow here in Vancouver area and its actually staying below freezing and then on Thursday we're supposed to get another dump of snow even bigger than the first. Could get ugly with the foreign driver population here.

Guys are already hitting the high elevation trout lakes around Merritt BC, so I think I've convinced the wife that we should head there on Sunday and give it a go for our first day on the hard water this year!

There is some amazing Rockfish Fishing around Vancouver Island and when you get into a school of suspended Black Rockfish you can be into a lot of fun. Once the jig drifts down closer to bottom you'll be into the other species like vermillions, china, copper, greenling, cabezon and lingcod. There are many different species as well around to catch. That's why we love fishing for them, fast action and you never know what you will pull in. They taste great too. This is how we use Buzz Bombs on Ocean Spinning Rods to catch some great action.

Luv the ol' buzz bombs!

Got a tackle box with a bunch in it, even used a two inch blue and white in Cuba with success banging just off the bottom on a reef structure.
