Down in the beautiful Crowsnest Pass
I’ve swung a hammer for 20+ years on and off. Worked for my uncle in residential contracting.
I’ve done framing
Finishing
Concrete work
Painting
Drywall-taping
Bobcat operator
Decks
Roofing
Windows
Doors
Plumbing
Tin bashing
Back when we couldn’t survive on just my one paycheck, I’d strap on my tools, walk into a site on days off...offer to work one full day at whatever they needed done.... then sit down with the boss and decide if I could be of use.
I used to ask for 200$ cash, end of the day, under the table. Scetchy stuff cause there’s no WCB.
I might take a garage build if I could find one, but my boy’s too small yet to handle rafters and wall installs.
