Default Nice Pike in the Pontoon Today

Was slow for Walleye, only got 3 undersize. Pike were cruising pretty good though. Got this guy on a small minnow on a jig head with no leader, 12lb flouro on a 5ft Ultra Light. Was a great fight he even jumped a couple times! Had no net...was hard to get ahold of him. tried to get a quick weight on him but couldnt get him high enough out of the water to get a good weight, he then decided he didnt want to get weighed, or for me to keep my scale, ended up donating it to the lake and getting bit in the process. The pics dont do him any justice...He was roughly 40" and i figure about 15lbs. Nicest Pike ive got in a while. got another around 10 and lots of 5-6lbers. Not a bad morning.

Makes it a little more of a challenge! She pulled me around pretty good! Would definately be hard to handle in a canoe! Lol especially solo!

Glad i hooked her right in the lip.. Would have been a ugly surgery getting a hook out of that throat...

Nice fish! Couldn't help but laugh that he tried to bite ya. Sorry to hear he took your scale out too. Some of them get downright nasty. I once had one tail whip me so hard in the face, for a second I wondered if I owed it money. Hahah!
