Why is everyone so intent on banning guns? Why not go the other way, lets give everyone over 18 one (assuming basic mental competence and checks) and see what happens.
I'm guessing a whole lot of nothing....

Kind of hard for a mass shooter to go on a rampage if everyone is armed.

1. Cruise ship caught in storm, passengers all okay
2. Robert Mueller report, apparently Trump not involved
3. Kidnapping in Ontario
4. Canadian couple murdered in Florida
Hardly a mention of 130 Muslims murdered just yesterday including women, pregnant women, children and men. The only mention is that Canada may extend mission???
Anyone that doesn't believe that there is discrimination in the media and around the world is in complete denial.

Your examples reasonably rare, Muslims slaughtering Muslims an almost daily occurrence? Not trying to pick a fight, just wondering if the latter is truly less newsworthy because of regularity ?

It is less news worthy because there is no way to blame it on the right. After the NZ attack it came down to white supremacist ideology that is spreading like wild fire due to the ramblings of Trump and of course the lack of gun control.
Andrew Sheer is under attack today for not directly referencing the importance of Muslims and the spread of Islamophobia when offering condolences to the people of Christchurch. This is reported ahead of the murder of hundreds of people in Mali where Canadian peace keepers are deployed.
