Default Foothills Streams This Week

Spent an afternoon and a morning on a few different streams this week with some buddies. Some bugs are around and hatching. Water is fishable but still on the high side. Four different species caught. First stream Bull of the season caught on a fly tied by JR this morning, can't beat that. Lots of good days to come.

You and Dace Junior are Gods,,, we need to adhere to your brand of fishing.

Dace Jr. will be a Jedi by Grade 12.

Great looking bull trout,,,,, first trout of the season always look so healthy and fresh, not the battle scarred veterans of mid to late summer!!!

Thanks for posting!

I always look forward to checking out the pictures you post of your fishing adventures.

I think we should get out and chuck flies at some hungry trout sometime in the near future.

Wicked stuff!

I refrained from a trip this weekend because I was told it was still too high and muddy! But after seeing this I might be headed to the forestry trunk tomorrow. Thanks for posting

thanks guys, especially to those who i shared the trips with. Gus, neither JR or myself are gods nor will we ever be. we are however blessed to live near some prestine waters and to be able to fish as often as we do. JR is also a gifted tyer and I look forward to many more years of fly fishing with him and catching on his creations.

Dace

Great Stonefly pictures.

Proof that our hatches are a couple of weeks behind, at least in the Red Deer River drainage.
