Default .22-243 win loads

Well ,I tried some 50 gr vmax in my .22-243winchester with a 1-8 twist!,what a mistake that was ! bullets spraying and tumbling all over the place!!,tried 75 gr amax and got rid of the tumbling and spraying big time, just got to spend some time and create a good load.Been using IMR 4166 in my .243 ackley and trying to see if I can use same powder for the .22-243...anyone ever played with stuff?

I have a 224 TTH with a 8 twist, which is the same, only diff is it uses 6mm rem case necked down ,ive had really good luck with R22, H4831 s/c f210m primer and 69 gn sierra match and hornady 75 amax i did not try any lite bullets, i have read that R 25 with 90gn pills is a good one but i havent tried it

N570 also works well in the 22-284. Might be worth a try in the 22-243

Default .22-243 loads

well I have given up with the 4166 powder!-I have tried anywhere from 38-40 grs and no consistency whatsoever so being I have R22 powder on hand ,tried it with 45 gr pushing 75 gr Amax-Nice!! just a little more fine tuning but 1/2 inch groupings so far.
