I'm more familiar with 358 but can tell you they are around, best thing to do would be to call the Spirit River conservation officer and talk to him about where to go, I was in there last week and he was very friendly and helpful. He does not have a list of landowners with problem elk yet but expected to have one in the near future. From what I could see on his map they are mostly along the south side of the Peace River.

Good luck, I have the late season as well but in 358

Lots of crown land. Game numbers are way down. You'll need a fast truck if you wanna keep up with the over abundance of hunters. I quit hunting there years ago, because of the zoo. And we hunted on private land only....sad zone now.

There is a lot of pressure up there but elk numbers are not down.

The hunting pressure has increased dramatically, but elk numbers are still good. Moose and deer numbers are far below what they were when I started hunting the area over ten years ago.
