I bought my old man a large skull hooker for christmas under the impression that he euro mounted his bull elk he shot this year. I found out he just sawed the skull cap off.
Is it possible to mount the skull cap on one of these contraptions? I know skull hookers have brackets that are meant for skull caps but they have to be ordered online. Xmas is in a couple days, no time for online ordering, procrastination never pays hahaha
I have a Skull Hooker I used for last years mount on my deer and purchased one for my elk for this year. you need an intact skull with the hole at the back, where the spine connects to use it. If he has just the cap it will not hang properly. Now looking at it you may be able to glue it on to the three prongs somehow but not sure how it would look. What about heading to bass pro and getting a plauqe with the velvet to cover the cap and doing it that way. If he still has the bullet case or arrow, whichever he used you could glue it to the bottem and have the date he harvested it engraved on it as well. Any way hope it helps bud. Nice christmas idea for sure.
skull hooker makes a peice for skull caps as well, not sure if you can order just the attachement or the entire mount, if you order the entire mount just use the other one for the next animal you shoot
