Default Called in my first coyote for 2014.

Set up where I'd seen a few this fall while hunting deer, he actually came in to about 175 yards from a direction that I did not expect and he busted me settling in for a shot so missed the first two as he was hightailing it, he lined out came out of a dip and was probably about 250-275 yards and led him about 6 inches in front of his nose on the 300 yard reticle and let the .223 bark, he lept high into the air and came down spun a few times and fell over. big yote...probably 45lbs.

Just picked it up last weekend, seems like a pretty good little gun for the money, went with .223 to keep the ammo costs down as well. spent 20 minutes fine tuning the bore sight that was done and the results are in the picture, dont even have 25 rounds through it yet. set it 2" high at 100 yards.

Seems to be quite a few in the area this year, predator numbers are up and deer are the lowest around here that I've seen in about 8-9 years. Just doing my part to keep as many deer safe through this winter as possible.

I had a youth model in 243 when they first came out. About the punchiest shooting gun I owned. Loved it. But it thru some wingers after the fourth shot. Barrel got too hot.

Nice pelt on him. That's some good shooting too. I'm hoping to thin out our coyotes a bit as well.

Nice coyote and good shooting. Got to love when they come into the call.

Going scouting for new areas closer to home today and tomorrow.

Will hit the old haunts after Christmas as well.
