There was a disproportionate number of penalties towards Canadian teams in round one

And the Oilers series wasn't nearly as bad as the Calgary series, but since I don't want to be accused of whining I will just agree that officiating is very suspect against Canadian teams. The Fix is in. I'd so dearly love to see the Oilers take the Ducks to the woodshed for a good old fashioned whupping, you have no idea! Maroon and Nurse laying damage on Perry, Kesler and Getzlaf would be cheering to be sure. My gut feeling though, is that they will get the same deal as the Flames did, which is to say that if the Ducks do it, it's not a penalty. If the Oilers do it, they will get called for sure. If both Oilers and Ducks players are involved, only Oilers players will get extra minutes. If a goal is questionable it will be allowed for Ducks, but disallowed for Oilers.
We will watch the series closely, and see if I am wrong. But it's sure a lot harder to win when the refs have it out for you (and your goaltending folds up like a cheap lawnchair!).
