Default Something to fish about

With all the discusssion lately about 'delayed harvest' and 'quality fisheries' and 'pygmy trout', all worthy of much palaver and very interesting to read, it would do us well to remember the words of long ago woodsman and philosopher Henry David Thoreau who said:

"Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after"

I agree with that sentiment and yet there are some (you may have seen them on here) that seem to feel if a trout ain't BIG it ain't sheet.

"Big" being open to a lot of interpretation.

Very true Freedom.
Bigger fish are just more icing on the cake.
A day on the water is never a bad thing.

To be honest, even on those days when I get skunked, it still find it a positive experience just to get out instead of working or just sitting around home doing nothing.

No matter if I catch a small trout or I catch a trophy pike I still have a great time.
