Default Smelt Recipes for Burbot?

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to stink up some smelt even further to attract burbot?

place bait fish in the bottom of an ice cream pail. cover with cheap canned tuna or cat foot and pour menhaden or cod liver oil over everthing. put lid on pail and store at room temperature for several days somewhere where the lady of the house won't find it. don't open up pail inside. stinky bait.

Default Puddles???

Where did that come from? Must be a story to tell.... Come on...
Sounds like maybe a good group story for the ice.

I hear that lure scents like smelly jelly, atlas mikes, and pro cure work very good. Ninety percent of the people who wrote reviews on these brands of scents said they worked really well. I would recomend getting the liquidy stuff and soaking the smelts in it overnight.

Well I was invited to go for some burbs in central AB. A pm won't get an invite this time as it's a buddy's spot and even though I'm sure he wouldn't mind, I respect other guys spots that they work hard to find.

But...a pm will get plans going for another trip.

Chubby want to catch burbs? I'll bring gloves so you don't have to touch them!
