My mom lost her Best of Wurst sausage making book by Brian Pay, if anyone out there has a copy I would like the American pork sausage recipe please. Butchered 4 pigs yesterday and need the recipe asap. Thanks!

Can't help with the cook book (although I did see there is a used on on sale on Amazon... for $114).

If you need a plan B, I have had good look with the recipes on http://www.meatsandsausages.com/

and they have a recipe called Pork Sausage-American

Default Wurst

They have real good recipes on that site. I have been using it for years. The only thing I would suggest is use about 15 percent more of thr ingredients than they call for. Most book recipes are a bit bland. Or you can add lots of what you really like. Piker

Reminds me of the butcher that accidently backed into the meat grinder. He got a little behind in his work

Default A little off-topic...

My MIL's dad had some recipes that he brought with him from the Old World - Apparently the sausages were amazing.

She knew here he kept them, and went to look for them after he passed, but they had disappeared.

I get a little teary-eyed when she brings that up, as I am hoping to someday be able to make my own...
