Default Snow around Swan Hills??

Hey guys/gals, can anyone here please tell me about how much snow the Swan Hills area has had so far this winter? Can a guy still get around with a quad?

Thanks!

Narrow tires and chains then quads can get around in 2 feet of snow and climb hills.

Next time I'll ask your wife for a more "accurate" measurement.

For anyone who might be wondering there's only a foot of light fluffy snow up there, quad got around just fine but did spin on the hills so a set of chains would be handy to have along.

I don't think he said there was 2' of snow there, he said "a quad can go thru 2' of snow & climb hills with chains on".

Default What about the 3 foot drifts???

Great advice on the Quad tire / chain combo.

Having been high centered in the middle of Gull Lake in a big drift on my quad with no help in sight, don't listen to this bar stool logic.

Having been from Goose Tower to House Mountain, to Shell Meekwap in the past, there are LOTS of creek bottoms, dips, gullies, and hills, that will drift nice and deep.

Now for fun, get yourself unstuck with only a winch that pulls forward into more drifts without a shovel ....

So if you want to giver, at least take a shovel with you.

Still running quad on trap line in high country north of Edson. We have had around 4 feet of snow so far this fall. I run skidder/v-bar chains on all 4 origional tires. Tire width must be narrow and high otherwise you will be floating on drifts.
