Totally! Mate has the shack, and heater, and all that jazz. It's just after the ordeal of getting to and from work this week I just want to sit all cosy inside

I'm going to be going out both days, I'll likely be staying in our shack with the heaters on most of the time. Me and my buddy will either be in a red quickfish tent or my homemade shack on the east side of the lake by the bays. Red f250 come by and say Hello!

It's far from dead in CVR. A great fishery. And I'd be careful quoting the safety d, as he is now suspended for it.

We had great times last open water season there - just this winter it's been a washout.

Ive only fished it once a few weeks ago, it was fairly slow, still caught a couple pike, and saw quite a few, just have to work a little harder for them.

Still lookin to see if any one is going sunday morning from calgary and has extra room in there vehicle and shack/tent..

I don't really want to drive out of town with my vehicle because the clutch is slowly going on it and also don't trust it out side of town.

i can pitch for gas or beer. breakfast or lunch. bait or pay your way in to the derby.

Thanks!
Bubbles

How is blowing snow in the forecast with 5 and 10 k winds? Why don't you stop bitching like a little girl and stay home then. It's freakin winter!

Not bitchin , just stating facts , was there last weekend , when it snows with any wind , them roads ice up , when l drove the road home it was a nightmare and the weather was better than the forecast for this weekend.

fair weather fisherman must have trouble behind the wheel on alberta roads in the winter as well. take her cool, watch out for the other guy and go catch some fish. there's no crying in fishing...........wait till she's plus 32 the winds blowing @ 100k and you forgot your tanning oil @ home! then what? ah, there's always ice fishing in the dead of winter.

Default It is the season

I seem to remember I organized a group outing a month or so ago out there and we started with about 20 or so and the so called bad weather was out there that day and several decided not to come due to weather. I believe Wayne drove through the worst and yes there were people in the ditches but the dozen or so of us had a great day and it was cool with a breeze. We areice fisherman and if you want to fish winter here you have to be prepared for it all including driving through snow ice fog wind and whatever else hits. Welcome to winter in southern Alberta.
