Default Blackfoot 54" LB, First peek .

I just received a couple photos of the First Blackfoot version of the Bearpaw 52" Sioux Longbow and thought I would share them. This is bow#1, They are still working out the lamination thicknesses to give the Draw weights we want.
All Phenolic Riser, bamboo and carbon Stabil-core under black glass limbs.Black Suede grip..

Made a mistake, these are 54" bows, not 52. Here is the strung profile of the Sioux and Blackfoot.

Bowhunter, Give it a try. It is not as hard as you may think. It definately is not expensive, unless you want it to be. Good shooting traditional bows are available under $200.00. The Sioux above is only $225, and the Blackfoot is about $300.00
Trophy Book in Spruce Grove has a good selection to choose from, as well as Git-r-donearchery in Calgary.

Default Bow

I've got a bow that was made for me and very close to those same lines, it's a sweet shooter and this one should be too.

Those are decent prices to get me going! Thanks for letting me know. Does trophy book carry the Sioux? I love the looks of that bow! I'm not worried about the cost of the bow as much as all the accessories! I've put well over 1500 into my compound set up. And know how much the little things add up! I think it would be so sweet to take a deer, or even a grouse with a traditional set up though! This year I think I may get set up with traditional. Just need to start saving!

The trad side of archery is inexpensive. A dozen arrows with Feather Fletch, A glove or Tab costs run from $5.00 to $35, and a Quiver of some sort $50 to $150+ for a custom made one,, A stringer $7.00 and you are all set.
Trophy Book has some Little sticks in stock, and can get the other Bearpaw bows if you ask.
The full line is here http://www.bearpaw-products.com/ click dealer shop, then Bows and bow building to see what is available. You have to use their back button on the pages to navigate the Bearpaw site. The prices there are all in Euros.
