youth bow's
looking at gettting my daughter a bow in the near future. She already shoots a .22 and sits in my stands with me during bow season. Was thinking about getting her one, realize that there isn't a lot of "quality" stuff out there. Anyone ever bought one for their son/daughter? Cheers

How old is she? How small is she?
Go with a Diamond Atomic if smaller in stature or a Diamond Infinite Edge...great quality for "kids" bows!

That's what I was going to say! The couple lefty mentioned are the better kids bows on the market.

For the money those bows can't be beat for kids just getting started.
The bow can adjust to grow with your kid....and they are quite shootable and accurate too....
That is what my Son used last weekend at his first ever 3d shoot....this picture is a group he shot at 10 yards, pretty decent!
Also with a bit of coaching on where to aim he was able to shoot at a 45yard "Yeti" 3d target and make 7 of 8 arrows stick.

Pse rally is a good bow, so it the pse chaos but I'm not sure the chaos can go lower than 40 pounds.

The bear apprentice is also a good choice ,highly adjustable also.Another one would be the mission craze by Mathews

Both my kids shoot Diamond Infinite Edge. Very versatile and easy to adjust.
You can dial them down to 16lbs and up to 70 lbs draw weight, so the bow can grow with the kid.

I have a Browning youth compound bow sitting around doing nothing.
You could have it for $75 but needs restringing.
Great little starter bow and cheap cheap for you.

Thanks soooo much. She is 5, but a strong kid. Got her a crappy tire bow to see if she likes it, and she loved it, used it so much she broke it. I am going to take all of your advise and go from there. She wants to start hitting targets past 20 yards this year.
Really do appreciate all the info guys!

At close to 2 lbs total weight for a 5 year old the Diamond Atomic is for sure what you want....the other bows are near 4 lbs.
My Son is 11 and he hasn't outgrown it yet.

kids bows
I have 3 kids age 10 - 13 shooting compounds, since they were as young as 5.
If a compound is what you want for her then the Diamond Atomic or Hoyt Ruckus Jr would be what you should look at I think.
You may want to consider just a light draw weight recurve for her from PSE or something for the time being. Good luck with your choice, I love spending time shooting bows with my kids!

Youth bow
My boys are shooting mathews missions adjustable from 15 to 60 lbs and 19 to 30 inches comes ready to shoot good price great bow my wife shoots it as we'll

I have the Bear Apprentice for my son who's 8. It's a great bow except he's a tall, long reaching kid. To get the right draw length, he can't pull the bow back. It's a very adjustable bow, but not quite enough for my circumstance. Even though it's a bigger, heavier bow, I think the Infinite Edge would be a better choice. But again, that's my opinion.

Mission Craze
My 11 yr son shoots a Mission Craze, he is a lefty, we had hard time finding one in Diamond, so we went with the Craze, it's nice bow, easy to adjust, light, you can't go wrong with one of these bows. My son and I entered the Oilmans 3 D shoot, looking forward to great weekend!
