Default Bow River flies question

Hi,

Went fly fishing on Bow for the first time yesterday. It was a fantastic day and could see fish jumping on a pretty regular basis. Didn't catch anythinng though so just like in golf where if I have a bad game it's because of the clubs, I am going to blame this one on the flies

I used a warm, and a couple of nymphs but nothing was doing.

Long story short, wanted to ask what flies are in season now for Bow? I fished near Riverbend in SE Calgary. Noticed only some mosquitoes and a couple of dragon flies. Now that it's mid September and weather is turning colder, I wonder what kind of nymphs or other kinds of fly I should be using.

Any advise will be much appreciated for this beginner.

This time of year the water boatman really start producing well. Try one of them as a trailing fly to some kind of worm or my personal favorite a bead head pheasant tail nymph.
