Default Late Season Highwood River and Trap Creek Report

Went to the canyon stretch of the Highwood a few kilometers west of Longview on Saturday. The water was very cold and the fish were largely inactive. I managed to catch one medium cutthroat and a smaller rainbow. We decided to drive a few minutes farther west to fish Trap Creek (aka Flat Creek). The fishing was better there. I caught 3 cuts and lost a few others. My friend caught a nice fat 15 inch cutthroat.

This cutthroat was bigger than it looks in the pic
