I see Kostin has 7 goals in the last 9 games. A good tilt to boot. Hope he keeps it up

That was a sterling performance by the team tonight, with the exception of that stunned second goal Soupie let in. The quick pushback goal was just what was needed, to send a message. To Soupie. But a good team effort overall I thought.

They looked OK last night, it's a nice little run they are on and I hope they can keep it up, they are headed the right way in the standings

I was happy with the way Kane played. Good tempo, 7 shots, 5 hits, played on the PK and PP. Timing was a bit off, but that will come with more games. The team plays different with him in the lineup.

Again Nurse made a couple of bonehead plays. He needs to calm down and keep it simple. Play defence not offence. I'd like to see him with Desharnais, and play a solid big boy defensive game.

Fun fact.
Nuge.
The only Canadian born player in the nhl right now with more points is Connor Mcdavid.
He’s on pace right now for 98 points.

Marner just past Nuge on the 17th January and is now 1 point ahead.

Marner's cap hit $10,903,000
Nuge's cap hit $5,125,000

Toronto can have the 1 extra point for $5,000,000

Oh, and both have more points than any Flamer, that is the real important part.

Well then, that obviously explains why the Oilers are 2 points ahead of the lousy Flames in the standings. As long as they are ahead of the mediocre Flames, by even 2 points, it's a moral victory, the 'real important part'.

I guess if you pick a low enough bar, you can make darn near anything look good. Now somebody, quickly remind me about the 5 Stanley Cups the Oilers won 3 decades ago.

His post of fun fact was on the 18th, so it was an incorrect fun fact.

Was not implying Nug was not having a hell of a year, jsut pointing out that his fact was incorrect.

Combine the two and you get more points than the entire Flames roster....I think.

8 years at $10+ per? Hope they don't waste him.
