Which effort would you support?
Good morning,
There is a movement afoot to hold the Govts. Feet to the fire and have the Govt deal with the Bighorn Country. The proposal is apparently not new and was part of a previous Govt conmittment.
So the user groups include logging, oil and gas production, cows, open grazing, mining, OHVs, hikers, fishermen, hunters, indigenous peoples and on and on.
The lines seem to be drawn. CPAWS and Y2Y on one side and all others on the opposite who are promoting a "leave us alone" attitude.
SO - the question is, in which side of the issue do fishermen stand.
Something is going to bappen. What should fishermen support.
It should he noted that the Fish Conservation Strategy for Alberta does not acknowledge any other user groups other than fishermen. Other killers of fish are never part of the solution in spite of my bellyaching that all impacts should be recognized.
Give it some thought.
Gonna be important within a year or so.
Regards,
Don

The point is - the Conservatipn fish Stratergy IDed ONLY ANGLERS.
None of us walk on the earths without impact.
So the user groups include logging, oil and gas production, cows, open grazing, mining, OHVs, hikers, fishermen, hunters, indigenous peoples and on on on.
Hopefully, this will help all groups acknowledge what Govt doesn't.
