Default What's on your rig?

Hey all,

So I've just bought a new F150 FX4, and I was wondering what you all have done with after market gadgets?

I was wondering what is your bar-none favorite accessory or accessories that you have had put on your truck from a box liner, to a front light bar. anything at all.

I think that I would like to spend a bit of moeny doing a few things to it, but I don't want to spend the cash, only to have the "Ah dang, I wish I would have done that"..feeling.

So if you're up for it, let's here it.

Or even know of a good after market palce where I could go to get somethings done that you recomend.

Herc.

24 inch light bar is by far the most practical thing I've ever bought for a truck. Don't forget some mud flaps, and not sure if the f150 come stock with them, but rear wheel well liners are awesome, keeps the inside of the wheel wells from getting destroyed from rocks and mud, cuts down on wash time too.

Mudflaps, Spray In Bedliner, Lightbar and 3M on the hood, fenders and sides all the way up to the bodyline! it keeps the rock chips and parking lot scuffs to a minimum.

My Ranger FX4 came with just about everything, which was super good; but getting the Line-X bed liner was absolutely a great investment.

Love my spray in boxliner
Paint protection film (not sure about yet, have one piece on rocker panel under door that has come loose)
Nerf bars to help get in (just to make it easier, factory truck no lift)

The small lift and level combined with bigger tires. Takes the car look away... if you want a contact for info let me know. The lift and install only cost me 320$

Bilinvic headlights, rear wheel liners, tonneau cover and bed rug. Switched almost every light over to LEDs. Replaced all the shocks and leveled the truck. Took all the decals off, leather seat covers that look OE. Turbo back exhaust with high flow cats, air intake, tunes.

A gang box, filled with slings of various lengths, chains, high lift jack, 16"x16" 3/4" plywood for using the high lift jack in muck, crosby shackles, matches, fire bomb fire starters, fishing rod, fishing tackle, emergency repel kit, gold pan, dog water bowl, ratchet straps, shovel, 20' of 3/8 steel cable, 3/8 cable clamps, military grade karibiners, 100' of climbing rope, X-tra dog leash, etc.

I have been caring this stuff since I owned my first truck and spent 11 hours in the bush getting it out. This was 4 trucks ago, it comes in handy. Mind you the older I get the wiser I have become and most of this stuff never gets used any more. lol

By far the most utilized accessory I have installed is a tonneau cover. Turning the box into all weather dry storage has come in handy many times. Last summer during some of the deluges we had the fire wood was nice and dry under there. I have a soft roll one as it is easier to use with the fifth wheel but the others are great too.

Two favourite things on my truck: hid headlights, and drone attachment for my remote start. Zero range issues.

Bullet Proof mudflaps (expensive but worth it), backflip hard tonneau cover so you can still install bed rails, rock tamer trailer guard, 3m paint protection.

Hard-shell solid one piece bed cover. Lockable so you can keep stuff in your bed you need and saves fuel costs.

I have a LUX Undercover and I love it.

Stripped and sound proofed with cab (Doors/Pillars/Roof/Floor) with Dynamat and a similar product myself. Used a Focal foam for the doors. Nice quiet ride regardless of what I'm doing. Would definitely do again in my next truck.

4" lift, LED head light conversion and 7" light force lights mounted on a bar, I would definitely go with LED off road lights or a LED light bar next time instead of the light force halogens. Also have a set of V-Bar tire chains I carry when I'm in the bush in case the roads get really nasty.

Don't forget to pick up a few cans of this, to give your truck that real truck look.

box liner and soft box cover , but the best add on is the rubber bed mat , stops things from sliding around and protects the box floor from dents .

A high rise canopy with a one handle latch system. The Fibrobec ones out of Quebec look nice. They used to have an English version website, I wonder if Marois's language Nazi's have nixed that?

I'd put Line-X bedliner in the bed, and also color-matched Line-X along the sills and rocker panels. If money was no object, the entire underside of the truck would be Line-X'd. The truck would have either a winch in front, or a receiver mounted winch that could be plugged in front or rear (receiver hitch mounted in front to accommodate). Locking diffs front & rear, a tool box, a Titan high capacity fuel tank to replace the factory unit. Possibly a sliding box extension style tool drawer.

Three things for a truck..
1. Spray in bedliner
2. Proper floormats to keep the mud out of the carpet, you want to use your truck
3. Upgraded front lighting
