Default Now that's good shooting!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...rn-target.html

I'd imagine that must have been quite a surprise for everyone.

What a time to not have a camera rolling....oh wait...there was a camera....

Not to appear to be morbid but... I for one would not mind seeing that.

good shot for sure.

I'd like to see the fireworks, minus the body parts personally.

Talking

Can you imagine the surprised look on the snipers face when a target explodes when hit ?

Likely the same look I had using propane on Pocket Gophers....and caused an Earth Quake under my feet

Unintended but not unappreciated consequences for sure.

And no one had to deal with the explosives.

The Brit's are good at this...blowing up the opposition.

Back in the IRA days it was highly suspected that they electronically detonated bombs being carried by IRA members. Electronic warfare, scary and deadly.

This 'low tech' method of blowing up 'bad guys' works really really well.

Default Are we sure?

Would that be a 308? At 500 yards? Would the explosive detonate from shock? I thought modern explosives didn't do that. I'm not sure dynamite would go bang at that range unless you hit the cap.

Any experts here who can guess what happened? I'm willing to believe the story but curious how the bomb was made to explode. Did the bomber press the button when he got hit?

Thats a huge question.
Who knows what the guy had strapped to him or how it was rigged?

I doubt very much that it was dynamite though.
