Default Please Help, How to Fish the North Sask

Looking to take my son to fish this weekend. We are pretty close to Rundle Park and i believe i have seen on here that there are areas there where you can fish the North Sask. Could anyone tell me where is the best spot and also how do we fish there? What type of lure/bait? Do we use a bobber? Sorry for so many questions but we really enjoy fishing, we are not so good at catching .

To answer your question use a pickerel rig and minnows or worms... find anywhere really on river that has access... good luck

Mostly every one goes to the Hemitage dog walk area .
Walk down the dog bath for a good block till you see the city drain pipe enter the river . that is one spot. other spot is under the beverly bridge, some parking on the east side just as you come into the city. used to be able to drive down now they have a gait. Good luck

Stay away from p rigs. Had a buddy catch a fish last weekend with one hanging out of its gut. Was also a thread on here a little while ago with the same thing.

Good on ya, THERICARDO ! Vamp, if it works for you I would jump all over that.

That said, a couple of years ago, I fished it out by Willingdon. Not having much river experience or knowing the river, I chose a slip bobber and put a jig under it. Had a bite first cast but missed him.....after that caught a few walleye and a few goldeye.

Good luck.

Default Thanks All

Thanks for the advice guys. And yes Thericardos offer was great. Sadly the weather did not cooperate and we are still looking for a place to catch some fish for my boy.
