Default Browning X-bolt stainless stalker carbon fiber fluted OPINION

Just looking at this gun which is a browning X bolt stainless stalker carbon fiber which is fluted, looking at the 300 wsm but all I can get now is the 270 wsm. I can wait for what I want.

Just wondering if anyone ones this and what they think about it.

Is it worth the bucks???

they're on sale at grouse river $1149 not sure what calibers.. really though all your getting over the cheaper stainless stalker model with the plain black plastic stock, is the fluted barrel. The 'carbon fibre' stock is the same injection molded plastic stock with a carbon fibre look alike graphic coating or finish, there's no actual carbon fibre used in the stock.

Default 270WSM Graphite Look

own this gun shoots very well, have it leaving the tube at 3290 fps,
130 gr Nosler Combined Tech, 100 to 400 yrds right there everytime.

Spent 1100 on the gun, flanged it up with the Vortex Viper, nice rig
no regrests. Feels very good in the hands, light.

I prefer the 270 wsm.It can do all you really need.If the 300 wsm is what you want, wait for it.You will not be disappointed.Good luck.

I like the Tikka's better....and I wouldn't buy a wsm ever. But it's your call, if it's the one you like and it fits good go for it. Nothing wrong with the Browning guns really.

The gun your looking at has a futuristic looking stock for sure, but it is only a type of sprayed on pattern, not real carbon fibre. In that price range you have many options. I may suggest taking a long hard look at a Weatherby Vanguard Back Country, Winchester Extreme Weather, or Tikka T3 Stainless. Just a thought.

Good for you, do you have to choose a scope for it now?
