Spypoint has the Live 3G that sends pictures to your MySpypoint account which can be accessed through your phone or a computer. Of course just about any camera with this technology needs reception equivalent to what a normal cell phone would get in order to send the pictures.

spypoint is 10 bucks a month through telus but spypoint has 19.99 charge for each camera per year. Pictures are stored at myspypoint and the camera be set to download 1-12 times a day to there server. You can access pictures that are all sorted by date. Spypount also has GPS that can be used to trace the camera if stolen. If camera is moved a text is sent to your phone as a warning.

Uway is having issues with telus from what they told me. Where i hunt, telus has better coverage so it was a no brainer. Read the reviews on the uway camera at chasingame.com They were not so good.

I would love to have 1 of each to compare.

Default GSM Camera

I have the GSM camera from Uway and not impressed. Rogers has squat for towers in rural Alberta so I have very limited places I can put my camera. But Spypoint sounds like a pain in the arse too so it sounds like. I have no complaints with the quality of pictures it takes or the user interface but they need to have a booster you can buy or allow for an external antenna you could run up the tree. One good thing is you can control the camera by sending texts from your phone. You can see how the power is and change how many pictures you get and when. It does eat batteries when sending in a poor coverage area. I have put $120 dollars of lithiums through it already.

I could be convinced into getting a Telus when they come out.

we have a couple Uways and have had a few issues such as camera not sending in photos when its supposed to. you really have to tweak the settings correctly to get things going. also reception isn't the greatest. I am planning on adding an external cellphone antenna to boost the signal. there is a small antenna connecter on the main mother board so it should be a relatively easy fix. this years new model of camera from them has this upgrade done already and the owner of the company here in Alberta says it helped significantly increase the cellular reception.
