Default -----First ever whitetail buck-----

Soo...given the day and a half I had to hunt until November I took advantage of my time and headed out to a little secret spot in hopes of finding a couple chickens...spent most of the day hunting and didn't even see a chicken, no feather piles from previously shot ones...nothing...after about a 4 hour trip with my uncle and my sister(first hunting trip ever) we decided to head back to camp for some grits...we were just putsing along through a bunch of buckbrush when about 90 yards in front of me all I could see was the horns of the biggest deer I've ever seen in my life on the left side of the trail...he didn't even care that we were there he just stopped right in the middle of the trail...he honestly didn't look very big when I first saw him...so I put a round in the 7mm-08, put the crosshairs on him and pulled the trigger...I have to admit I was shaking so bad I pulled the shot and it went a little high and i ended up breaking his back but an immediate follow up shot right through the the lungs did the trick...we drove up to him and he seriously got 10 times bigger...putting my hands on him was without a doubt the best feeling in the world especially because my first deer was bigger than any deer my uncle has ever shot in 30 years of hunting He's a 4x4 with a 2 inch sticker off his right side so I'm thinking he'll score somewhere around 155" but I'm not very good at guessing...we skinned him out and now all we have to do is figure out which taxidermist to take him to...we were originally thinking Doug at northern impressions but I was recommended by a friend to Dave booth east of slave...not too sure where to bring him to but here he is

Great buck man, something you'll remember your whole life!

I have taken a lot of stuff to Doug at Northern Impressions, and he always produces a great product in my experience

He did my bear rug and it turned out amazing!!! I like the work that Clarence does at wildlife originals too!!! Such a hard decision!

Clarence is not the same taxidermist he once was. Call Brian Dobson. Nobody better.

I agree....you can tell the pride and respect you have for your deer! Nice one!

I don't think he will hit the 155 mark but honestly it's your first deer man don't even worry about the score! He is a dandy and score really is just a number you can be very proud of your first deer!
