Default Wolf down

While out hunting moose today, with one of my hunting partners who is also a forum member here. I seen this gal looking for food so I gave her a lead pill from the .300 wsm and she went down straight away. Kind of neat colors on it. Good luck on your hunts!

Talking moose thinks those blue/grey wolves are the best looking. Great job!

Default Wolves

So guys, I am by no means passing any judgement here. From Ontario where they have a big coyote issue in south part of the province, so farmers are big to have hunters pick them off.
Is it the same with Wolves here in Alberta?

Talking moose has noticed it depends who you ask. Why is there so many wolves in Alberta? Must be enough prey to support them. (At the present)

Love the Talking Moose!

So Wolves are shot for...? meat? Fur? Game animal management? Just curious, I'd love a nice wolf hide.

Fur, trophys, game management, livestock predation, but not meat. Talking moose puke in his mouth a little.

Looks like a nice one.
I will just never understand why everybody feels the need to hug a dead wolf (no offence meant)

That is just to show the size of the wolf in comparison to the person. I am 6' 3"

No offence taken, thanks for the comments.

Some people have a hard time realizing just how big full grown wolves get- if you are 6'3" that gives it a real world comparison !
That's a fine coloured wolf you have there, will make a great rug!

Very nice wolf. I also have a blue/grey that looks identical to that one
It currently resides in rug form and I get a lot of compliments on him
A nice trophy for sure
