This one... I was driving the snowmobile alongside a fence row where I had found a couple earlier. I should have been looking less to the side and more to the front...I felt the machine jump up pretty good...knew immediately what happened. Luckily it wasn't a big one...

And yesterday afternoon, I found this nice matched set from a buck I've gotten pics of the last 3 years...but first time I find any sheds off him.

He was the least consistent of a group of over a dozen bucks I was regularly getting pics of as they came to a food source. I would only get pics of him every 2 to 4 days. He was the first whitetail of the ones I was watching to shed...the last pics of him with antlers were in late January...and he showed up without headgear in early February. I ended finding his sheds along a wood lot over a mile from where he was feeding.

The downside to that is no moisture. If we dont get some rain its gonna be a drought year in the south 10 - 18 celcius the last half of Feb and March is nice tho.....

Default Slow start

Finally found #2 of the year! Its been very slow going this year, deer are not wintering up like normal. That's a good sign for their overall health but makes for a tough find for antlers haha

Add another one to the pile...
errrr?!...two...

I could only see the one. I took a few pics and only saw the second one when I reached down to pick up the fresh whitey shed. The old one appears to be a muley shed. It was well frozen in so I'll maybe pick it up later this spring.

In the last pic, I am touching the end of the beam..the base is at the bottom left of pic.

Picked up 8 in 3 hours on Sunday. Four fresh and four older, the one mule in the bottom right I watched fall off his head and never did find the other side that he still had on. Picked up about 30-40 so far this year. Most the elk still have all their horns so still another couple weeks before we go push them out of their home.

Saw nine elk that showed no sign of shedding any time soon south of Longview on Saturday. On Sunday I saw a whitetail that still had both antlers outside of River Lot 56 Natural Area.

I think so, has a droup in the tip of the main beam, was about 500 yards apart so same neighbour hood. Found the old one 2 ft from a bear den with tracks coming out and going back inside. Exit......

Found this guy last weekend. Found 10 sheds in total, only 2 fresh. Will be heading out in a few weeks to find more!

No, I have pretty much given up south of town in the bush for whitetail. It permission was obtainable on decent crop land near the fringe I would feel different. Sad
