I found these sheds and full skull last week. The sheds were near Red Deer and the skull was east of Stettler. Man was there a lot of snow there! The skull still had the spine attached and was up under a big spruce tree, not sure if died there or was drug there? Found two small doe skulls as well in the same valley. Can't wait to go back for Easter when there's less snow. Bad picture but yes the sheds all have brow tines.

I found this guy yesterday. While COD was impossible to pinpoint, that fact that he was discovered 300 yards from a road would point to a good prime suspect.

Default Whats it worth?

I have been picking up sheds for quite some time. I now have a fair sized stash that I wouldn't mind pedaling out. I have heard 10 bucks a pound. Any one know?

Well, we had a baby last week so today was the first time in a while that I was able (allowed) to go out. I went and picked up the one I found last month that was frozen in a creek (it's the dark 4 pt), I also found the 5 pt in the same creek (should be a 6 pt but the G 2 is busted off)... and a smaller 4 pt.

I had memory card issues with the camera so I have no field pics... which sucks, because it would have been cool to have pics of the 2 antlers under about 2 feet of water.

was out in 204 on saturday and found 6 muley sheds, my dad found three sheds including a beautiful moose set. Still quite a bit of snow in places making it a little difficult but it was one of my best hauls i have ever had from the area as far as quality of antlers. My tally for the year is 11 sheds, 2 WT and 9 Muley. Going to 348 next weekend with high hopes since the snow is receding so fast.

Exclamation First day of Success!!! Found 3 !!

What a day... deep snow... water under snow filling my boots, seen two moose and about 7 deer as well. Didnt find any of the three big buggers I have seen on his property... but i had fun

Found my first one hooked in the Silage thingy by the farmers barn.. they have been ripping it open

This next one i found about 300 yards from the first one

and this one i found about 500 yards from the 2nd one.....

i was hoping to find more.. but I am happy I came home with at least 3

What is this in the next pic???? I found a few patches of heavy trails that had this type of hair all over them.. some were scratterd with deer schit like everywhere.. and lots of deer hair... everywhere... I have not run into this before.. then again i never used to shed hunt either... just found them by accident

He is complaining about the 30 + deer that are eating his cattle feed.. and walking around his house all day...

Something died there and the coyotes dragged the bones somewhere. Look around some more and you might find some bones and maybe some headgear.

Default Good shedding afternoon

Well I got home abit early from work, saw this thread and it got me motivated to hit the buck brush. In 3 hours I found 5 Mule deer sheds,Four of them are Blah, however I was lucky enough to find one side off of grandpa.

i'm guessing it's an old buck, alot of palmation and mass,he has a little split browtine and a small kicker. His back fork though is weak,I looked everywhere for the other side, but could'nt find it.eitherway it was still a great day....

And I appaulagize for the pic's....,I did'nt even think of hauling the camera with me,I honestly thought that I would'nt find anything!!

Default sheds

I found three more this week end. That makes four sets and four singles(all whitetail). The snow is melting fast in the north central area of the province and by next week end it should be easy pickin. Good luck.
