Default Which way do you think would be best to dispose of fish innards

Looking for some responses here. Not worried about what is legal or illegal but what you feel is the most environmentally friendly way to dispose of fish guts.

Of course with any disposal method I am assuming that they are disposed away from places where they would be unsightly... such as at the dock, parking lot, someones sleeping bag etc.!

I always bring the whole fish hole and fillet them here then dig a hole or throw them in the compost bin , makes for some wicked fertilizer.

Using it for compost, wouldn't that smell? Sounds like a good idea. I'm building a compost this summer. My main concern is if it smells I don't want a whole bunch of cats coming around or other critters for that matter. haha

My dog would dig pretty deep to retrieve a rotting fish to roll around in!
I clean fish at home and put the guts in the garbage.

I usually slab them on the lake, that way I get rid of the big parts of the body. At home I remove the ribs and skin and throw them out with the household garbage.

Put them in the fire pit and burn them. Don't have to worry about bears sniffin around, I used to put them in the freezer until I make a trip to the dump but the freezer fills up fast, so now I burn them.
