Default Tributaries

Just a question on what would be considered the end of a tributary into a lake? Is there a grace zone around where it feeds in or is it a straight line along the shore of the lake?

as far as i know, unless it is specifically stated in the regs (i think there is a few that say so many yds or such from the mouth is closed, etc) it is a straight line from shore to shore (basically the continuing of the shoreline).
