Default Walleye Action

Had a great time with family fishing on Christmas holidays.Nothing better than spending time on the lake in a chair soaking up the sun and catching some fish.

Yeah I guess I forgot to mention was fishing at Boundary Dam near Estevan Saskatchewan.Everyone out there seems to have nice fishing shacks!Wish we had a fishery in central Alberta as good as they have.I have always had good luck out there all year round!Mind you they are all man made dams but fishing is good!Hope everyone gets to spend time out on the ice.Good luck fishing.

Fished boundary dam as a kid. Caught a lot of perch out of that dam.

Can you imagine if you could keep walleye that small in Ab. lakes how quick we would be fished out.

Sure is nice to have all those lakes and so little population to fish em.

Envious am I. I told the wife we should have retired to Sask.

That is why Saskatchewan has such good fishing in general. They have not been brainwashed into keeping prime breeders for a fish fry. It is better for the resource to take those smaller fish.

Not totally I think Sask has a decent setup there and wish Alberta would subscribe to a slot restriction also.
Of course 10 times the lakes and 1/4 the pop helps too.

awesome catch thanks for sharing .... the last picture is cool ....."the rod stringer"

Let them go, let them grow.

Most walleye over three pounds are females and should be released.
The bigger they are the more reason to set free. A quick photo and slip them back to reproduce until they die of old age.
