Default 308 Norma Mag

Co-worker of mine is wanting to load some 308 mags for his older Browning.
Anyone have any good loads. I figure 4350 would be the powder .
He is also looking for some dies..... will be posting in the wanted adds also .

IMR 4350 works well, as does IMR 7828 which is what I'm using in my latest 308 Norma. If you want send me a PM and I can give you some starting loads etc

Default Other Options

I prefer RE#19 72gr/180gr bullet or H-4831 same bullet same charge. For 150gr I like 71.5gr IMR 4350...Cases can easily be made frm .300 Win Mag brass.Lube the .300 Win mag brass up to where the .308 NM shoulder would be ,then the inside of the neck with a Q-Tip.Then FL size in Norma die and trim done deal................Harold..........range brass is free

You can run 338 WM through once and be done, lil shorter neck but they work well.

What kind of velocitys does the Norma push a 180gr bullet at? I've never fired one but have seen a few for sale over the years.
