Mark you are getting seriously addicted to this fishing thing.
They caught the 70 out of the boat before the ice came.
Looking forward to watching your better half showing you up on the ice this year.

Cheers, Rob

Oops yes, I missed the date on the posting.
I am sure Tina will be outfishing me again but at least I will be there to help bring the catch home, I know my place!

There appears to be soft spots in the ice still...not sure when it will open.

Default First year on the ice

This is my first season out on the ice, and managed to get the fiance in on the fun too. I would be elated to go for some perch, especially so close to home!

Sundance not open yet. Midnapore has been open since Dec 17. Any mid spore residents interested in chasing perch tomorrow?

I'm always interested Kevin, Its been a year or two but you have to remeber the small fire inside the tent.

It won't be -30 so a sun flower will do..Haha. Didn't realize Midnapore had perch.

Hey Kevin, is this by invitation to Midnapore? I would be very interested to get into some perch.

I spoke to one of the groundskeepers on Boxing day and he said that the ice went from 6" thick to open water in about 10 yards. After that all they all got off the ice sharpish!
With the weather forecast for the next few days, can't see us being allowed on the ice for a while, certainly not for the derby on the 7th

Would like to fish Midnapore too if there are any firendly natives out there!

It was colder last night, that must have added at least 2" of ice to Sundance lake mustn't it!?!

They just opened Bonavista yesterday for ice fishing! Sundance really shouldn't be far behind.
