How much postage are guys putting on the envelopes to make sure they get there?

I've got half a dozen made and the rest should be done and in the mail by early next week. I went with the suede juan worm; much like buckeleys, it looks awful but it works...

Cheers.

That's a good question about postage. I'm going to pay extra ($1.10 up to 50g) to insure that I get me flies.

This made me think back to a time when I was at Fish Creek and an old guy was just using red coloured octopus hooks with nothing on it and was out fishing everybody around him.

Maybe I'll forego submitting my nymph pattern and throw in some red hooks for the fly swap... Haha!

Hi! Would you count me in on the swap? I thought I was too late!

Thanks,
I've never done this before, so I'll send a PM as well as post my pattern asap

Great, cheers!

This is my tung bead bloodworm. It's so easy to tie, and as for most productive in winter river fishing, this one is my go to fly. I assume by choosing our "best" fly we are talking about our most productive fly. This little baby has done me well over and over again.

Just put the whip on a few of my clousers this afternoon. Have not had a lot of time to tie the last little while. Should be done by Wednesday and mailed by Friday

So mine are done and in the mail. Couldn't get a very good picture. All the pics I tried to take were blurry so you'll have to wait to see them, but I tied the north fork special in black so if you're curious just google it. It works great anywhere there are small stones. And cutts seem to love it. Hope you guys like it.

I'm thinking of doing a version of a Gold Ribbed Hare's ear, probably with a bead. It worked great for me last year.
Does that work for you guys, or would you prefer a less common pattern?

I'd be happy if this is your pattern. I hope to be tying many of these patterns up to give them a go this year... I'm happy to get a common pattern that you've had great success with.

I dropped mine in the mail today.

I have my dozen "Carpetbuggers" tied and ready to ship.

Also tossed in a few extra flies for Uplander for hosting the swap.

I hope you guys don't mind. I was home sick this week so I tied up another dozen to throw in with the Carpetbuggers. The extra fly is a Lightening bug.

Hats off to KingFisher! I very much appreciate your generosity and I'm sure so will everyone else! Awesome Job man.

As for an update I haven't received any flies as of today so hopefully next week the ones in the mail will start arriving.

Cheers!

Hey Uplander, I sent out my flies tuesday mornining on my way to work. Thanks for hosting the swap. I also tossed in a few extra totally different bonus flies for you for hosting the swap. I figure they should get there by the end of the week.

Cheers,
Rob
