- if you only send 11, that leaves the swapmeister having to sort through and figure out who sent what resulting in 11 different sets of flies that need to be sent to specific people - obviously way too confusing.

- if you do not have time to fulfill your commitment, do not join the swap.

- flies should be in the hands of the swapmeister by the due date, preferably before.

- NB - there should be a due date chosen and once that due date arrives, the swapmeister should post a message advising if he/she is awaiting any outstanding flies.

- the swapmeister assumes responsibility for postage in order to redistribute the sets, however, in all the swaps I have been involved in, most of the participants choose to send a little cash donation or some nice ties as a thank you for hosting.

Sorry to sound bossy, but I have been involved in my fair share of these that have resulted in some otherwise preventable conflict.

No problem with your "bossiness"!! Will abide by all the rules, thank you for the clarifications.

In all swaps i have been involved in, all participants are to enclose a S.A.S.E. for return flies. If a swapper resides outside of the jurisdiction of the swapmeister, then enough money to cover all postage should be enclosed. All swaps I have been in required swappers to put toe tags with their screen neame on them, on all flies so that every participants will receive flies that they can identify.

A SASE is ideal, and obviously will work for this one, but some of the others I've done (dry fly swaps), guys were wanting crush proof containers in order to maintain integrity (hackle etc). So agreements were made ahead of time whether SASE, cash, etc etc... eventually we were all taking turns hosting, so it all evened out in the end.

I don't mean to sound stupid but what is a SASE? Just learning...

Default Barb or barbless..

I normally use either barbless or mash the barbs of the hooks I tie on, but for this occasion you can do it yourself if you wish. I hope that's ok..

In the last swap I mashed down the barbs on my input but noticed that 90% of the returns had the barbs, so I'm not going to debarb this time and folks can do what they like.

Mine are done and will hopefully be mailed tonight or tomorrow. I'm afraid they do not have toe tags, but each of you will be getting one of these. Crawad, there's some bonus for you and also one from the last swap.

Mine won't be in the mail until the end of the month (January). Tying up black and silver double-doubles and ran out of silver beads. Hopefully a trip to Wholesale Sports or the Fishin' Hole will fix that!

If you're able to go back and edit this post I would recommend you remove your phone number. We are all 'friends' here but other less desirable elements on the internet might stumble across it and could find a way to make use of this sort of personal information.
